Yuban Traditional Roast Coffee Review

today we are reviewing Yuban traditional roast hmm which is a medium roast 100% coffee it doesn’t tell you Arabica or whatever but right so yeah we had seen this in this store a long time ago mm-hmm never really wanted to buy it the price is not that tantalizing it is $7.98 a pound it was $5.99 for this 12 ounce and that was at that that would have been at Ken’s food market I think right yeah in American Falls Idaho that’s right which right now we are in Riverside California you know this to me is interesting because this is only 12 ounces and like if I just pick this up I would think it’s more than what’s in like a regular bag of coffee mm-hmm yeah if this was a can of soup it’d be like a pound and a half that’s true okay soup weighs more than coffee yeah so you know okay well the question is is it good coffee I think someone had recommended it yeah it’s been recommended a couple of times so the first time I ever had this coffee we had just had chocolate oatmeal cookies and I thought this coffee was the most disgusting coffee i’d ever put in my mouth i really did it was like Aldi daily basics all over again yeah and I explained to her I was like you just had a chocolate oatmeal cookie so obviously the taste of this coffee is not gonna be indicative of what the coffee really tastes like but that’s not really true because there are tons of times that I’ve had and I loved actually having coffee with my dessert and it’s always a compliment it’s never like oh this coffee tastes horrible it usually makes the coffee taste a lot better so I don’t know if my palate was just weird that day or I haven’t tried it again to like my son’s gonna have to make some chocolate oatmeal cookies and then maybe I can do that but uh so when I when we went to record it so I refused to try it since then I was like I’m not drinking that ever again until we do the review but when I went to taste it today it’s actually fine yeah and that’s what it is it’s fine mm-hmm you know for being the price that it is or that we paid for it at eight dollars a pound yeah it’s it’s not in line with other things that we’ve had at that price range it’s just a non offensive yeah blend yeah I guess I would say blend yeah even though it says on the thing deep rich flavor I don’t get the deep and rich I mean now one thing is I had a sip of his it’s just straight black and I will say that the cream in my cup I think is overpowering a lot of the taste but the the black tastes fine to me which is generally not something I enjoy what are you trying to show these people the grounds from a long way away kind of smells good I think but yeah yeah it’s I would say it’s just it is it’s like it’s fine I don’t think it’s offensive I think if you bought this and you served it to a group of people nobody would be like oh this is disgusting and just be kind of like this is just you know that kind of coffee you get like in a waiting room yeah I know one person who would really enjoy it and that’s cousin Eddie from the national lampoon’s vacation series he said oh Youban coffee yeah you can sprinkle that stuff on pretty much anything ice cream mashed potatoes or just eat it right out of the can for a quick pick-me-up so he really loves it yeah yeah out there frying chicken on a not frying it cooking chicken on a rock I think one thing though is if this coffee was a lot cheaper I think then I’d be okay I get it you know it’s really really super cheap and maybe the grocery store that we were in just had higher prices although it didn’t seem that way yeah it wasn’t yeah it wasn’t out of line it didn’t seem but that’s the only thing I’ll say it’s like if you can find this a lot cheaper somewhere else then I would say at like I’m gonna I would up my rating a bit but what would you say your doughnut rating is I’d probably be right at a 3 I would think yeah 3 with with hesitation yeah we wouldn’t buy it again at this price and probably wouldn’t buy it again at a cheaper price compared to you know the other things that we could get yeah yeah 3 just because it’s not offensive although you may find yourself in a place you know we talk about sometimes they’re like well great value coffee is so inexpensive just get it right but we were in that small town there was no great value coffee around and this was our choice so for like a church picnic or something this could be a Wide Awake Coffee Co French Roast Coffee Review
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: hey welcome to coffee coffee coffee your place for average Joe coffee reviews what do you call a snail on a ship what a snailor today we are reviewing wide-awake coffee company’s french roast which is a dark roast obviously right and the darkest of the dark right and so wide-awake coffee company is something that we just kind of found in where were we Montana no Idaho yes and we’ve never seen it anywhere else so I have no idea how wide the distribution is but it’s awake that’s for sure but it’s distributed from Illinois so I mean you know it’s it’s fine twelve ounce bag or $5.99 so that’s not cheap cheap no yeah but not expensive I would call that so we did review the medium roast yeah the house blend yeah and it was pretty good it was like for the money we just don’t really wouldn’t buy it again but is it any good though so so we will delve into the deep darkness of the wide awake coffee company French Roast and it’s funny because when we first started this channel I was very much a French Roast kind of person or like the darkest roast snooty no and I think that was because I just didn’t know like I just didn’t have like it was just kind of this in my thought and I and I tend to prefer still on the like medium side I’m not a light roast person right but is it true that light roast is what most like coffee coffee people would be like you have to do light roast because then it’s not roasting out all of the oh I dont know whatever all I know is I don’t really like the French roast in general like now that I’ve really started to drink more and I’ve really compared a lot of them I tend to like a medium roast from a good roaster I think is really where I tend to land and in a lot of French Roast are kind of bitter I think this one it’s got some flavor yeah you can tell that it’s a darker roast you can tell that it’s a bolder I guess it’s kind of it says bold oh and by the way there’s a snail on the bag hence the joke but I you know again I feel like it’s very very similar to the Breakfast Blend it’s like darker yes well we had a house blend sorry house blend is it’s very similar to that but it’s just slightly darker so for the same reasons I’m like at a three yeah as we mentioned on the House blend review it’s distributed by top Co foods and there’s you can’t really find out any information about the company wide awake coffee company their Facebook page is for all intents and purposes nonexistent because it hasn’t been posted on there for four years right so it’s it kind of feels like maybe their whole line is just kind of a appeasing like a French Roast thats kind of bold but it’s not gonna be crazy that’s that’s how they got picked up by a distributor like that yeah because it just has kind of probably a mass appeal I mean I don’t think you’d be like disappointed if you bought this bag because you’re just like hey what is it you know what is this I don’t think you’re gonna be like oh I can’t believe I bought this but it’s probably I don’t think it’s that overwhelmingly good either right yeah I I would have to agree to agree agree to agree but the bags are really cute bags around there this one’s gotta snail on it and there’s an owl and a frog and a fly and a bee so that’s cool but have you ever had any of these wide awake coffee company coffees before especially this French roast let us know what you thought about it in the comments below and if you’ve liked this video please be sure to like it down below by hitting that thumbs up icon and leave a comment and then subscribe and be sure to hit the bell to get notified whenever we go live or do another review so until next time keep grindin

Wide Awake Coffee Company House Blend Coffee Review
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: hey welcome to coffee coffee coffee your place for average Joe coffee reviews today’s coffee is hoot hoot today we are reviewing wide-awake coffee company house blend it’s got a cat on the bag it does have a cat on the bag and a frog and an owl yeah and cute packaging yeah what I realized today I thought the the bag was just the bag for the House Blend but then when I was on the website I noticed that there were different animals on the front here like this is a cat some of the other ones have owls and frogs and whatever but then I got to looking and it’s a label so the whole bag doesn’t have any information about this particular coffee just the label is different and so then I went to the website to find out more didn’t really find out anything else there either you can’t click into each individual coffee to find out what they think about it or anything and it also says on the bag it may contain artificial flavorings and stuff but really that’s just a blanket statement this is just pure you know Arabica yeah because they do have several different coffees that they offer but you know we were trying to find out more about it went to the Facebook page the last post there was from 2014 and then we saw that Topco is their distributor and Topco apparently does distribution of food stuffs for all sorts of company across or around the United States and we’re in Idaho right now right and we’ve never seen this coffee before ever right so I guess it’s more of a Pacific Northwest we’re almost in the Pacific Northwest I think I don’t know what this place is called but I did notice American Falls Idaho yes but at the grocery store there was a sign the one that said this peanut butter makes all the others jelly yeah and that was pretty good but Topco is also the company that distributes that store brands and that’s where we found this coffee so that all makes sense but still we don’t know anything about the company or what the company says this house blend coffee should taste like right now let’s talk about the price it was $5.99 right per bag which is like along the lines of Gevalia or something like that so I’m kind of you know comparing it to that as far as quality goes but how does it taste exactly and you can get it on Amazon for even more money why would you do that well maybe if you really really want to try this coffee which one day I was drinking this and I thought I’d tasted like winter mint winter spearmint Winter Garden what is it called winter yeah and I was like what’s going on with this and then he poisoned my brain cause then I started thinking that I did not think that at all but he’s like do you taste that mint that mint flavor do you ever get that now I kind of do yeah but today I don’t it’s not there yeah it’s just all in my head but today I thought I did taste orange juice so I don’t know if I don’t know I taste burnt almonds or something what what’s going on no I do like especially in the beginning of the cup to me it tastes burnt it kind of tastes burnt and bland otherwise I just meant was I having a stroke yeah but I don’t know like especially in the beginning I’m like I don’t really there’s nothing there’s no kind of like chocolatey or nutty or just kind of roastiness that I really like at first down further in the mug I start to enjoy it more like it’s like I don’t know maybe it’s really subtle and it takes my palate awhile I don’t know but I’m enjoying it as I get further down but overall it’s not my favorite yeah especially for the price it you know it’s not expensive but it’s more than even the great value coffee’s which again are readily available If you could find a Walmart you’re gonna find some great value coffee right these types of coffees are only available at those local stores that have them or online and I think that’s the thing about house blends a lot of times the house blend leaves me wanting more like I that I think it’s the thing where they’re trying to appeal to everyone and by trying to appeal to everybody I so I’m not appealed to yeah I like it like I like more definite flavors even even if it’s not the stuff that I particularly like I would rather have that and knew what I’m tasting so yeah what’s that saying if you try to appeal to everyone you’ll appeal to no one there’s something like you can fool all the people some of the time but not all the people some of it all the time something like that I don’t know yeah fool me once shame on you fool me twice can’t get fooled again that’s not necessarily true either because companies like Maxwell House they try to appeal to a bunch of people and it works and it works yeah so I think yeah just just for my own personal taste I I think I am still curious about the other coffees that they have and will probably go buy more at the store and kind of see because for the price it’s not like super disappointing I don’t say like I’d be a three yeah I think maybe three because I can drink it it’s just like I’m not I’m not like I’m not jazzed about buying more of it I did notice at the store they had a darker roast for sure and I think a lighter roast which we’ll probably steer clear of but the darker one I think we’ll get because we’re gonna be in this place for another week and at that grocery store there’s really not much coffee to choose from it’s Folgers and I don’t even think Maxwell House is there Dunkin Donuts original and this wide awake company yeah so we’ll see what we do do you live in this area or have you had any of the wide awake coffee company coffees coffee I guess that’s what I Great Value Donut Shop Coffee Review
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: hey welcome to coffee coffee coffee your place for average Joe coffee reviews today’s coffee will take you to the donut shop today we are reviewing great values donut shop which is 100% Arabica coffee it’s medium it’s supposed to be bright and balanced right so yeah so great value has been one of those brands mm-hmm just kind of knocked our socks off for the price and for the quality and the taste we are just still kind of baffled but donut shop coffee on the other hand in donut shops and donut shop coffee from coffee makers they have not been that impressive yeah we think what it is the donut shop coffee blends they’re trying to appeal to a lot of people right yeah like yeah mass appeal so then you don’t get those like stronger flavors really now this donut shop coffee was three dollars and eighty eight cents for the 12 ounce bag so that’s only 517 a pound so I think it’s the least expensive donut shop blend that we’ve reviewed and it’s the same price as the other great value coffees that we’ve reviewed yeah but I say we get into telling you what we think of this coffee since Kayla is drinking it already sorry yeah you know it’s my least favorite of the great value so far I really I mean I don’t not enjoy it yeah is that how you say it i think so I I it’s it’s like it’s okay maybe it’s not hard to drink it’s actually pretty easy to drink it’s almost too easy to drink cuz it’s kind of bland I think to me it’s just like you know when I try to think like what am i tasting here it’s kind of like not much yeah occasionally I get a beanie type taste with it though and normally it’s when I’m first starting to drink it yeah and that could be that because we drink different coffees all the time we’re not it’s not like we opened up this bag and drink only this bag we’re we’re drinking you know flavored coffee and we’re drinking craft roasted coffee and drinking whatever so that may be part of it so we drink it before the review because to kind of get back into the yeah coffee yeah but I mean overall I mean I don’t think it’s so I don’t think if you bought this coffee you’re gonna be like severely disappointed especially based on the price like yeah you know I think it’s still especially for the price a good coffee mm-hmm I think I mean what would you give it donut wise though donut wise look at all those donuts it’s it’s a cute bag hey it expires on my birthday next year yeah see that’s like that’s almost a year from now they say it expires and then you get something like Peets like three months from now it was like roasted yesterday and it’s three months from now maybe not as good so who knows what the real thing is but I would say probably a three and a half yeah I was gonna say that too like it’s not I mean it’s one of those I might buy it again yeah you know like it would have to be there are not many choices right but I wouldn’t be severely disappointed if you brought this in the house I’d be like okay you know right and the price is so good so inexpensive that it’s almost like yeah yeah I can make it it’s good yeah there was some coffees that we’ve rated in the past that were less expensive but it was just like I don’t care how much it cost its not good I can’t right I can’t drink it this is this is not that way right we did brew this and an automatic drip coffee maker as we do most of our reviews and we are mentioning that in subsequent reviews is so that way you know how we made it right if you’ve tried this great value donut shop coffee let us know in the comments below what you thought about it and if you’ve tried any other great value coffees that we have not yet reviewed let us know about those and we’ll be sure to look for them the next time we are in the Walmarts if you liked this video or it’s helped you in some way please be sure to like it by hitting that little thumbs up thing down there on the bottom and leave a comment down below and be sure to subscribe and hit the bell so that you get notified whenever we make a new video or we go live and until next time keep grindin

Starbucks Naturally Flavored Vanilla Coffee Review
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: hey welcome to coffee coffee coffee your place for average Joe coffee reviews today’s coffee is just plain vanilla today we are reviewing a Starbucks vanilla yes which is naturally flavored which is different than a lot of the other flavored coffees we reviewed I think maybe the hazelnut Dollar Tree roast naturally flavored but everything else is artificial flavored and we don’t tend to like flavored coffees anyway right but this was recently recommended on our youtube channel by a viewer to try it and I got clarification as to which one they wanted and I saw it at Walmart and so we picked it up yeah so it’s supposed to be velvety and rich and it is their lightest roast with vanilla flavors so its real vanilla not the fake stuff right so actually it’s interesting how its worded it says made without artificial flavors right yeah it doesn’t say naturally flavored well it does say with other natural flavors right you know so but they’re just wanting you to know and then it smells great mm-hmm I could just smell it all day long I just want to sprinkle it around the RV and just have it be smelling like that all the time yeah so here’s what you need to do if you ever have an open house and you’re selling a house right instead of putting vanilla on a light bulb or baking cookies or whatever get a bag like this and just brew a pot of it and let it like yeah I know because it makes everything smell wonderful yeah but we don’t tend to like flavored coffees again you know if I’m gonna go for a flavored thing I’m gonna do it myself with my own like you know vanilla extract or whatever the thing is one thing I will point out there is a thing on the side of here that vanilla mocha joy it says brew the Starbucks vanilla flavored coffee coat a mug with two tablespoons of chocolate syrup that sounds good I’m there yeah dump out the coffee and just drink the syrup it doesn’e say that so step two it was coat with the the chocolate then pour in six ounces of the coffee stir in three tablespoons of half-and-half topped with whipped cream and drizzled with more chocolate syrup if you like if you like sounds like something I might get on board with yeah we didn’t try that maybe we should yeah but you know let’s let’s talk about the actual taste now now the price again with Starbucks you’re gonna be paying a little bit more like it’s it was 698 for an 11 ounce bag which is 10 what a $10.18 or $10.15 a pound yeah so I mean it’s not super expensive it’s not like a micro roaster but it’s not super cheap either it’s just you know it’s a little bit more yeah a little bit more yeah then like Gevalia or something like that and I just don’t like it I don’t know do you like no you know because we don’t like flavored coffee yeah I mean now as far as other flavored coffees we tasted I’d say this is better than them yeah that’s exactly what I was gonna say it’s like out of the other coffees we’ve tasted I think this one’s the best yeah a lot of times the flavored coffees have kind of chemically mmm flavor and that’s what it is chemicals yeah and this is much more like this actually does remind me of when I add vanilla extract to my regular coffee this is the kind of flavor so I will give them that like I bet the Starbucks people went to Madagascar fought off the animals and got some vanilla beans and scraped them into here yeah do you roast vanilla beans I don’t think I think they roast the coffee and then they add the flavoring so we should probably look that up but yeah so I mean it’s just you know I think it’s just flavored coffees maybe we shouldn’t review flavored coffees because I always feel like oh man we just never liked them yeah because if somebody likes flavored coffees and they’re looking for our review about it yeah they’re not gonna go for it yeah you maybe my brother who likes flavored coffees we’ll start a coffee channel just on flavored coffees and we’ll see yeah now on donut rating what would you put it that’s so difficult because I don’t want to buy it again so I can’t give it more than a three but the problem is like we said is that if you compared it to other flavored coffees and most of them are vanilla like most of the flavored coffees you see are vanilla it it’s better than those yeah so I think maybe I would give it a three but I don’t know if I’d buy it again just because we don’t like right yeah yeah because it’s not real bitter or anything which sometimes Starbucks can kind of be bitter to me yeah actually as far as Starbucks is concerned it’s maybe easier to drink then most of the other ones that we’ve tried yeah but and that’s the thing about a lot of flavored coffees is it can’t you you have to get rid of some of the coffee flavor and add in some of the vanilla flavor and I just i’ve preferred just coffee flavor I think so yeah but anyway I’m a three I think so I think that’s fair but we wouldn’t buy it again no and that’s like we said just based on the fact that we don’t really like flavored coffees right except for like the Halloween one that we did there maybe this Halloween we’ll do another maybe an updated version of the same coffee we made because I just wanted to make that coffee man Jameson Irish whiskey in there oh yeah anyway if you’ve had this Starbucks I thought it was a new one yeah because somebody recommended it and I thought it was new but apparently it’s been around for several years but if you’ve had this Starbucks vanilla flavored ground coffee with other natural flavors let us know in the comments below what you thought about it and if you have any suggestions on how to make it taste better yeah we forgot to mention that we brewed this in a different way the flavored coffees tend to when you make them in your automatic coffeemaker leave a you know their flavor yeah all over the coffee maker which is another reason we really don’t like a flavored coffee right and because we don’t have a dishwasher so if we have to wash the filter basket it’s like you got to try to get down into all those little things to get everything cleaned out of there and still it seems like it doesn’t quite get the flavor out it so the way that I I made this you can look on our Instagram page about it but I put a coffee filter and I strapped it to the top of a Pyrex glass measuring cup and then put the coffee grounds in the filter and then heated up water in our electric kettle and then poured it over there kind of like a pour over right I guess yeah well and also we should mention we did drink this before in the automatic drip so we we know you know it’s the same i certainly have the same feelings about it in fact I think I like this better better yeah um but yeah so for that was the neat little way to try to do a pour over I’m sure people will be like that’s not the right way to do a pour over we know it’s just you know you do what you can with what you got yeah but anyway if you’ve liked this video be sure to like it
